Bringing 22 years of real estate expertise with him to the ranks of the Lee Davies Team of real estate professionals, Mike Ness recently accepted Lee Davies’ offer to be Lead Broker at Lee Davies Real Estate’s new Uptown office. The team believes Mike’s specialty in West Side and close in East Side homes and commercial sales will be a tremendous asset.
In the early years of their careers, Mike and Lee worked together at Barbara Sue Seal Properties (BSSP) where they both learned her unique way of buying and selling homes. When Lee started his company, he used many of the same principles and expanded on the ideas he learned there. Mike stayed on with BSSP through her sale to Coldwell Banker and beyond always missing that wonderful time. Naturally, when Lee showed Mike the similar business model Lee Davies Real Estate used, Mike was excited about the opportunity to work in an environment much like the one he enjoyed at BSSP.
Mike is a native Oregonian who grew up in Lake Oswego and spent summers on the family ranch on the McKenzie River in the Cascades. He majored in Architecture at UC Berkeley and Marketing at University of Oregon. After college he went to work as a manager for a large homebuilding products firm in Portland but, four years later, decided to make the jump into the real estate industry. Combining his educational background with his knowledge of neighborhoods, Mike has been a great success in the business winning several awards and honors over the years.
When he isn’t finding that special home for his customers, Mike is involved in charitable causes ranging from the Hospice House Board, and several other local health organizations, to architectural restoration projects throughout Oregon. Other interests include kayaking, wind and kite surfing, biking, international travels, and really good books.
Mike will be authoring a column on this site about local neighborhoods beginning in January. The column will feature the history, the dominant Architecture, events that shaped those neighborhoods and little known facts about what made them work. A new posting will appear at the first of each month and should be a fun read for all.
Call Mike with any of your real estate needs. 503-221-2929
